Everyone! I now have a beautiful 1969 Baldwin organ in my home. It has two manuals and a full pedal board. I am so excited to be able to play the organ daily, and to easily offer private lessons in my home!
Please read on for details about pricing and potential practice opportunities.
The organ is quite possibly the most majestic instrument ever invented. The repertoire written for this instrument is energizing and playing hymns is balm for the soul.

This can be your student some day!
- Students should be in at least third grade
- If not capable of reaching the pedals, we’ll make modifications
- Prior piano instruction is not necessarily required. Some knowledge of reading music IS very helpful. While it’s possible to begin on organ and then move on to piano, that is a more difficult path. Ask me to assess your student.
- Group organ classes allow us to learn together, at our own pace, and learn from each other
- Home practice is required. Practicing on an organ is often impractical, so practicing on a piano or keyboard must happen at home.
- I will allow practice on the organ in my home when lessons are not scheduled for a nominal fee. Ask me more.
- 30-minute private lessons (ask about Partner Lessons too)
- $15 per class if taking piano lessons with me at the same time
- $30 per class if taking piano with a different teacher, or not currently studying piano.
- Weekly lessons are strongly recommended for those who wish to make a serious study of the organ
- À la carte subscription organ lessons are also available for busy families who still want to learn.
- Organ shoes from Organmaster are required at some stage to be determined per student.
- I teach how to play the organ traditionally. Ask me more about what this means.

WR1 – The Older Beginner Organ Course Level 1 – Bastien
A progressive, functional approach that introduces chords in all keys blended with contemporary rock, pop, and blues sounds.
Special exercises for mastery of the mystery of foot coordination and dexterity.
Learning the art of hymn playing at the organ is made possible through this step-by-step by Dr. Parley L. Belnap, Emeritus Professor of Organ at Brigham Young University.

Hymns can lift our spirits, give us courage, and move us to righteous action. They can fill our souls with heavenly thoughts and bring us a spirit of peace. Hymns Made Easy is a selection of simple piano accompaniments for sixty standard hymns. It helps less-experienced pianists develop hymn-playing skills. The two- and three-voice arrangements can be used to accompany singing.

Hymns, Simplified Accompaniments
This book provides simplified musical arrangements of 158 hymns from the hymnbook. The arrangements are for piano or organ. They can be used to accompany congregational singing and at home. Published in a 9 x 11 1/2 format with spiral binding.
