Mini Musicians: Engaging music theory class

Join us for Mini Musicians! This class is geared for kiddos in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, or homeschool equivalent. Theory concepts are taught through stories, songs, games, worksheets, and class activities.

Counting and Rhythm
Basic Music Symbols
Music Alphabet
Direction of Reading
Basic Pitch Recognition
Black Piano Key Groups
White Piano Key Names
Intervals up to a 5th
Recognition of 23 Instruments and Their Family

What You Need to Know…

  • Students should be in Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade.
    • If your student is younger or older and you’re interested in this type of class, please contact me.
  • Students do not need reading knowledge. Students may be taking concurrent piano lessons, but it’s not required.
  • Group music classes allow us to learn together, at our own pace, and have fun with each other.
  • Homework is NOT required. Owning a piano or keyboard is not required.
  • Attendance at each class is not required. Come when it works in your schedule.
  • 30-minute small group classes
    • $20 per class if not taking piano lessons with me concurrently
    • $10 per class if this student is taking private piano with me at the same time.
  • Thursdays @ 2:45 pm
  • This class is eligible for MusicLink, if finances make participation difficult. Ask me for details.
